What's going on

The Toyota Camry is a midsize family sedan that slots between Toyota's smaller Corolla and the bigger, more luxurious Avalon. This latest Camry age came out for the 2018 model year. From multiple points of view, it's the safe decision in this class, and numerous shoppers are attracted to Toyota's standing for unwavering quality.

For 2021, the Camry gets some minor styling updates inside and out. Toyota has restyled the front guard and grille, and there's a recently discretionary 9-inch touchscreen display that is positioned higher on the dash than the standard 7-inch screen. We're pleased with the changes, however they're eventually not exactly enough to lift the Camry past higher-positioned sedans such as the Kia K5, Honda Accord and Mazda 6. Check our Master Rating for our top to bottom interpretation of the 2021 Camry.

What's it like to live with?

We purchased a 2018 Camry in the sporty SE trim and tested it for over a year. To realize what it resembled to live with, read our drawn out test, where we covered everything from seat solace to efficiency. Note that the 2021 Camry differs slightly from that 2018 model, which didn't have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto smartphone joining, however our inclusion is otherwise appropriate.

Which Camry does Edmunds suggest?

There's no shortage of Camrys to choose from. We suggest going with the XSE because of its abundance of standard features, alluring styling touches and its sport-tuned (yet still agreeable) suspension. Deciding on the XSE gets you desirable gear such as standard vulnerable side observing with back cross-traffic alarm and calfskin upholstery. It also opens up pleasant to-have options including a panoramic sunroof and warmed seats.
